The Wardenberg rector Michael Braun is now acting boss in Schröding.
New air filters are now also in operation at the school there.
Kirchberg
– The new school year at the elementary school in Schröding has started with fresh air and fresh wind.
Eight air filter devices were installed during the long holidays, which the new provisional headmaster Michael Braun also inspected during an on-site visit by the municipal council.
The Wartenberger will not teach in Schröding or Hohenpolding because he faces the challenge of managing two schools at the same time.
He has been the head of the Marie Pettenbeck School in his home town for six years and remains rector there.
At the end of the school year, the Schröding school association said goodbye to long-time head Gerhard Ebentheuer.
Despite three calls for tender, the school authority has not found a successor.
Braun will now temporarily continue the tasks for a year.
"We officials stick together," said the 48-year-old.
The college assured him of broad support.
"You do it in the best possible way, whether you do justice to everyone given the enormous amount of work and time involved, honestly has to remain open," said Braun, but also saw synergies between the schools.
He would like to bring impetus from Wartenberg and, conversely, take it with him from Schröding.
It is not yet clear when he will be in Holzland.
The new ventilation systems filter out viruses, ensure cooler air in the summer months and also keep energy consumption low thanks to 80 percent heat recovery.
208,000 euros were planned for this in the municipal budget.
80 percent of the measure is funded by the federal government.
In addition to the pure device costs of 110,000 euros, there was the engineering services of the office of Wolfgang Moises and the work of several tradesmen who laid new power connections, made the 36 centimeter holes in the outer wall, installed the filter devices or repainted the walls.
At the same time, the implementation of the fire protection concept was advanced.
New doors now connect the classrooms, creating escape routes.
These have the positive side effect that, for example, in the event of illness, a teacher can now more easily look after two classes at the same time.
