The management of this affair continues to cause a stir within the political class.
This Wednesday, the Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, Isabelle Rome, criticized the listening cells of the Nupes which "stifle (s) the word of the victims" after the revelation of accusations of violence made to women by political cadres on the left.
For Isabelle Rome, the Quatennens affair thus demonstrates “the ineffectiveness of
the listening cells
set up by Nupes”.
“Rather than allowing the victims to turn to the police and then take the legal route (…), this cell ultimately constitutes a closed session which stifles the words of the victims instead of freeing them”, has estimated the Minister Delegate in a reaction sent to AFP.
Ex-magistrate, the Minister Delegate, who called on “all victims to file a complaint”, considers it necessary to “work collectively” on sexist and sexual violence which “spares no political formation”.
"We are groping"
On Sunday, the deputy Adrien Quatennens, figure of the young guard of La France insoumise (LFI), admitted domestic violence against his wife.
He is under investigation, which follows a handrail.

The case had a domino effect among environmentalists with accusations of "behavior likely to break the moral health of women" launched by EELV deputy Sandrine Rousseau against Julien Bayou, co-president of the environmental group in the Assembly national which has withdrawn.
“Yes, we assume that we are groping, that it is a difficult question”, declared, in front of the press, the deputy LFI Danièle Obono.
“The MeToo wave is quite recent and all its implications must be integrated,” argued Clémentine Autain on BFMTV.
