Beer murder in the hacker marquee?

A visitor to the Wiesn calmly poured his mass into a transparent plastic bag.

The clip went viral on Facebook.

Munich – Intangible cultural heritage, purity law, beer queens: Germans love their beer and everything that has to do with it.

Anyone who doesn't really appreciate the brown traditional drink, especially at the Munich Oktoberfest, is likely to feel the displeasure of the beer lovers.

Oktoberfest 2022: Beer tent visitors fill up Mass

Visitors from all countries are welcome in the Oktoberfest tents.

In view of the scenes that took place in the hacker marquee, one or the other host would have considered banning them from the house.

Bavarian cabaret artist and actor Harry G (Markus Stoll) shared a video of the incident on his Facebook account.

It cannot be determined with certainty whether the video was taken at the Oktoberfest in 2022 or in the years before the corona pandemic.

Regardless of the exact time: The short clip shocked Facebook users as well as the Oktoberfest visitors walking past in the background of the video.

Wiesn: Beer murder in the hacker marquee?

The 14-second clip shows a young man, apparently of Asian origin, sitting on a beer bench in "Heaven of Bavaria".

Instead of a traditional costume, he wears ordinary jeans, a shirt and a jacket.

There are several Hacker Pschorr beer mugs on the table, two of them empty.

A transparent plastic bag lies directly in front of the Wiesn visitor.

It contains a brown liquid with a white foam crown.

The empty beer mugs suggest that the Oktoberfest guest quickly poured his beer into the bag.

Before the eyes of other horrified visitors to the tent, the man calmly ties his valuable goods with a knot.

"Paid is paid": Video shocks Facebook users

It is creditable that the Wiesn visitor did not want to waste a drop of the traditional malty drink.

But at the sight of beer in a plastic bag, the heart of many Bavarians will surely slip into their lederhosen.

It remains to be seen whether the guest made it to the tent exit with his mass-to-go without tearing the bag.

Landlord Thomas Roiderer reported to

Bild

that the man first tried to leave the tent with the beer mug.

When a waiter explained to him that this was forbidden, the beer enthusiast unpacked a plastic bag he had brought with him and began decanting his beer.

That's not forbidden.

But “the beer tastes best here in the tent!” says Roiderer.

Cabaret artist Harry G, who shared the video, was impressed

in an interview with

Bild : "Creative, you have to give the guy that.

You have to come up with that first!”

The short cell phone video has already been viewed more than 200,000 times and left the majority of Facebook users visibly shocked.

In view of the beer prices at the Oktoberfest, some of which are almost 20 percent higher this year than in 2019, some users also showed understanding.

"Paid is paid," someone wrote under the video.

A total of more than 1400 people have already commented on the clip.

There was also recent trouble in the "Bräurosl": Landlord Peter Reichert, who only took over the "Bräurosl" at the Oktoberfest in 2022, was even summoned by the city for this reason.
