- Can the partial mobilization announced this morning by Putin be interpreted as a new escalation in the conflict?

It is a new escalation which is based on two pillars: the call first of the reservists up to several hundreds of thousands of soldiers to reverse the direction of the war.

Mobilizing more men than initially mustered for the invasion of Ukraine is clearly a headlong rush.

The second axis of the escalation in the conflict lies in the pseudo-referendums of the occupied zones - the outcome of which we already know - and which will allow the Russian Federation to present any attempt by kyiv to recover its lost territories as an attack against Russia.
