The meaning of the hack is the leakage of information of more than a million and a half of the company's customers, of which several thousand are Israelis.

Ram Levy, CEO of the Israeli cyber company Confidence who researched the issue: "The leaked information is, among other things, personal information that includes names, addresses, email addresses, number of customer clubs and more.

According to the law in Europe, customers whose details have been leaked deserve compensation.

In a conversation with the company's representative, they explain that they will have to learn more about the issue of compensation.

On the face of it, it seems that a compensation plan is currently taking shape based on the leaked details.

In addition to passenger details, the work agreements between the various airlines, including with El Al, airport entry permits, budgets, commercial data and more were also hacked.

Levy also adds that the absurdity is that the hackers who carried out the hack stated that even now, the airline's security breach has not been fixed, it is a lot of information that has leaked out."

How will you know if your details have been leaked?

The company is obliged to inform you whether your details have been leaked and whether you deserve compensation following the hack.

You can contact the company by email: dpo@tap.pt.

In a conversation with "Israel Today", the airline states that a hack was indeed carried out into the company's systems and that the full details are still under investigation.

During the day, the company will probably issue a statement on the matter."
