REPORT OF THE HEARING - A mother read the letter from her daughter, aged 4 and a half at the time of the attack, to testify to the trauma suffered by child victims.

Hello Mr. President, my name is Louise*, I am ten and a half years old.

I have lived through very difficult trials since July 14, 2016. I have had many nightmares.

That evening, I was on the Prom to see the fireworks with my dad, my little sister Agathe*, mum's cousin, some friends and mum.

A truck arrived, it ran over everyone.

I didn't know why mom told me to run home.

I saw lots of people die and go under the truck.

There were a lot of noises.

Bodies were flying right in front of me.

It was excruciating.

Since that evening, I no longer want to see fireworks in Nice.

Since then I've been afraid that mum, dad and Agathe will die.

I am very afraid of certain noises.

Because of that, I go to psychologists.

I do

can't sleep without the light.
