Another Russian official has been found dead under ominous circumstances.

The number of mysterious deaths continues to rise.

Moscow - Another well-known personality has died in Russia under ominous circumstances.

The Russian newspaper

Izvestia

reports that the former head of the Moscow Aviation Institute, Anatoly Gerashchenko, died in a fall at the research institute.

According to the newspaper, the scientist is said to have fallen from a “great height”, falling down several flights of stairs.

The paramedics called for help could only determine death, the newspaper said.

Between 2007 and 2015 Gerashchenko headed the Moscow Aviation Institute, in the years that followed until his death he worked as an advisor to the institute.

in his career .

Next mysterious death in Russia: cause often unclear

The Gerashchenko case is not the only mysterious death of a Russian scientist or oligarch since the start of Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine.

In April, two Russian managers are said to have killed themselves and their families, and in May an oligarch died after visiting a shaman.

Yuri Voronov's body was found lifeless in July. Voronov had connections to the Russian state-owned company Gazprom.

The body of the 61-year-old lay in the swimming pool of his villa in St. Petersburg with a gunshot wound to the head.

In September, a high-ranking official died, suspected to be linked to oil and gas.

The 39-year-old went overboard under mysterious circumstances off the coast of Vladivostok.

Also in September, the death of Vladimir Sungorkin caused a stir.

Sungorkin was editor-in-chief of the Russian newspaper with the highest circulation ,

Komsomolskaya Pravda

, and was considered one of the Kremlin's most important supporters in the media world.

The journalist has been on the European Union's sanctions list since April because of his close ties to the Russian government.
