Syrian authorities have found the bodies of 34 migrants who drowned off the port city of Tartous (northwest) while searches were still underway to find survivors, the Syrian Ministry of Health said on Thursday (September 22nd).

The number of people found drowned has risen to 34 and 20 people are receiving treatment at al-Basel hospital in Tartous
," the ministry said in a statement, which had just previously reported 28 dead and 15 injured.
