The Ministries of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and Economy and Foreign Trade discussed today a draft manual for classifying micro, small and medium enterprises and preparing a database to advance this sector.
The Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Minister Qatana pointed to the importance of unifying government efforts to reach clear definitions and methodologies for managing and financing these projects, whether in cash or in kind, by securing production requirements and equipment, and attracting their products to link the production chain with marketing directly in a way that encourages increased production and achieves an economic return for its owners, indicating that these projects constitute an opportunity to attract Agricultural production without strategic crops, which have a direct impact on the market.
In turn, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, explained that the aim of the meeting was to present the vision of each ministry and the participating authorities in this sector, the problems and difficulties according to each level, and to discuss the necessary solutions, especially with regard to the stages of establishment, production and marketing, providing the necessary training, securing the requirements of these projects, and benefiting from the project classification guide. To develop investment systems.
During the meeting, the executive path was presented for the development of a project definition guide and an explanation of the form for the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Federation of Syrian Agricultural Chambers, the General Union of Farmers and the Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers.
