The member of the Bundestag Rainer Keller (SPD) died surprisingly at the age of 56.
This was confirmed by parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich in a letter.
Berlin - The SPD politician Rainer Keller is dead. The member of the Bundestag from Wesel died unexpectedly on Thursday, according to a letter from Chairman Rolf Mützenich to the members of his parliamentary group.
Keller was 56 years old.
He was elected to the Bundestag last year and, among other things, is a member of the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development.
The death of the colleague is affected and sad, said Mützenich of the German Press Agency.
“He was a member of parliament who was popular beyond the boundaries of the parliamentary group, who served people from the start and then also as a paramedic.
His job became a profession, which he has also practiced with passion and professionalism in his work as a member of the German Bundestag since 2021.
Our thoughts are with his relatives and friends. "
