The police arrested a 27-year-old Hora resident tonight near Kfar Kasem, who is suspected of stealing dozens of cooperative scooters from Gush Dan.
The police officers began searching after receiving a report of a vehicle driving on Route 444 near the city and containing 25 scooters parked on the streets of Tel Aviv and intended for use by the general public. They stopped the suspect's vehicle, discovered the stolen scooters in a search of his vehicle, and finally arrested the driver for questioning.
This is not a one-off case, these are a phenomenon.
A survey conducted this year by the Ituran company through a geocartography institute among bicycle and electric scooter owners revealed that 28% of bicycle and electric scooter owners had their vehicle stolen at least once.
The survey also revealed that 5% had the tool stolen twice, 4% had the tool stolen three times.
It turns out that the main fear of bicycle and electric scooter owners is that they will be damaged by another vehicle (50%), but the fear in second place is theft (36%).
