The municipality of Kochel can finally tackle the planned renovation of the town hall.
The focus is on the roof and heating.
After completion there will also be an e-charging station.

The renovation of the town hall was one of the goals that Mayor Thomas Holz had set for 2022 (we reported).
In the middle of the year, however, things suddenly didn't look so good with this plan because no company had responded to the first call for tenders.
"But then it worked out for the second tender," reports Holz.
Old oil heating is replaced by new pellet heating
Now the work has started.
"First of all, we will exchange our old oil heating system and replace it with a new pellet heating system," says Holz.
For this purpose, the old heating oil tank in a part of the parking lot will be removed, and then the new pellet container will be buried.
Due to the renovation of the town hall, part of the parking lot is not usable.

But the focus is also on the roof.
It was hardly insulated, says Holz.
In addition, there have always been problems with storms and rain in the past, and an extensive renovation would have had to be tackled in the near future anyway.
For this reason, the decision was made to insulate the roof and replace the dormers as part of the construction work.
This saves a lot of energy, and the heating system can be made much smaller, says Holz.
Another advantage: the administration can use the premises, for example as a storage room.
In addition, photovoltaics are to be installed on the roof and on that of the associated garages.
Among other things, a charging station for e-vehicles at the town hall will then be fed with the electricity.
So far there aren't any.
“We are currently looking at other locations”,
Main focus of the renovation work: New roof and heating
"With regard to climate protection and especially in times like these, it was particularly important to us to rely on renewable energies and save as much energy as possible in an existing building," says the mayor.
The costs of the measure amount to around half a million euros.
It is not yet possible to estimate exactly when the project will be completed, says Holz.
"Unfortunately, there are currently delivery problems in the area of heating." Because of the construction work, there are restrictions on the town hall car park.
Citizens are asked for their understanding.
In addition, all Kochler are asked to continue to arrange a meeting in advance for appointments in the town hall.
“It worked,” says Holz.
