300,000 reservists are to reinforce the Kremlin troops. A candidate for action in Ukraine would be the son of Putin's confidant, Dmitry Peskov. Apparently he doesn't think that's going to happen.

On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization as part of the war of aggression against Ukraine – 300,000 reservists are to be drafted to support the Kremlin troops at the front.

While many potential candidates are reportedly trying to avoid conscription by leaving the country, the son of Putin's press secretary appears to be relying on his contacts.

A former conscript in the Russian Nuclear Forces, Nikolai Peskov, son of Dmitry Peskov, would be one of the candidates for mobilization.

This apparently fell into a prank phone call – broadcast live on YouTube.

When a supposed recruiting officer drew the 32-year-old's attention to his draft, Peskow was convinced that he did not have to go to war.

"We sent you an electronic convocation today, Mr. Peskov, but you haven't replied yet," said Dmitry Nisovtsev, a confidant of jailed opposition figure Alexei Navalny, during the live stream of the YouTube channel "Popular Politics."

And further: »We are waiting for you – tomorrow at 10 a.m..«

"Of course I won't be there"

Peskow's answer: "Of course I won't be there at 10 o'clock.

You must understand that I am Mr. Peskow.' There are 'political nuances' when it comes to conscription, he continued.

Peskov didn't mention whose son he is, but said, "If you don't understand, I'll address this issue on a different level."

He first had to find out more, the son of Putin's confidante continued: "I need to understand in general what's going on and what my rights are," he said, making it clear: "Believe me that you'll draft me tomorrow , neither you nor I need that.«

However, Peskow did not want to be removed from the recruitment lists.

'I will do as I am told.

If Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) says I have to go there, I will go.”
