Large daycare center in Bad Wiessee is growing rapidly

The new daycare center in the municipality of Bad Wiessee, next to the elementary school, is making rapid progress.

Bad Wiessee is currently building a large day care center.

There will be 100 kindergarten and 60 crèche places.

The project is currently right on schedule.

– The new day care center in Bad Wiessee is growing at an amazing speed.

The walls and supports of the upper floor are currently being concreted, and then the ceiling will be put on top.

This means that the community is almost on schedule with its showpiece, as Mayor Robert Kühn (SPD) recently announced in the municipal council.

"We want to have the roof on by Christmas," is the stated goal.

Also important: As far as the financing of the new kindergarten and crèche building is concerned, "we are right on the cost estimate", says Kühn.

The municipality has just obtained the offers for the windows and doors, the sanitary facilities, the electrical installations and the technology.

"Several bids were submitted for all trades," says the mayor happily.

Nothing to be taken for granted in these times.

When asked, Martin Brugger from the municipality's technical building authority also spoke of a smooth construction process.

160 care places and nine apartments for staff

In mid-July, the community turned the first sod for the new day-care center at the primary school.

In addition to space for a total of 100 kindergarten and 60 crèche places, nine apartments for staff are being built on the top floor.

The new building had become necessary because, on the one hand, the need for childcare places was exploding and, on the other hand, the previous Maria Himmelfahrt kindergarten could no longer be renovated.
