Light in a dark alley... Stories from short literature

The writer Jihad Buzan knocked on the doors of realism and reductionism in his short stories collection entitled (Light in a Dark Alley), in which he relied on condensation and illumination of feelings briefly without compromising the meaning.

In his 135-page collection issued by the Syrian General Book Organization, Buzan adopted the method of mixing reality and imagination with a simple proposition, highlighting some social, humanitarian and romantic cases, which were a mirror reflecting society and reality.

As for the method, it was easy, focused and simple, which strengthens the effect in conveying the message of the stories to the recipient, including (stories of human monsters), (a confusing question) and (a warning siren), which was characterized by a surprising conclusion.

In his storytelling, Buzan presented brevity and emotional expression to reflect his writings in short literature, honesty and artistic formation, such as love stories (robe) (or what), in which he summarized his feelings and emotional contents in a few words.

In other stories, he turned to the critical method, such as (Blood Corrupt), (Tear of Pain) and (The Velvet Layer Girl) and touched the heart of the heart through human relations in (Wasted Substitution), (After Absence), (Medical Prescription) and (Prisoner of the Central Region ).

And about the pain of exile and separation from the homeland, he spoke in (The Moan of Alienation), (The Story of Love), (The Homeland is Good), (A Tear for the Homeland), (Canned Brains) and (Syria and the Stone Age).

The writer Jihad Muhammad Buzan was born in the village of Al-Maz’ala, Jarabulus, Aleppo, in 1983. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in literature, the Arabic language department. He works as a teacher. In his beginnings, he set out with a group of literary thoughts published by Al Masirah newspaper, issued by the Revolutionary Youth Union, to follow his literary career by publishing very short thoughts and stories in the Al-Jamahir and Tishreen newspapers.
