Man found with gunshot wounds: large-scale operation

Passers-by found a man with gunshot wounds to the head in Hamburg-Veddel on Wednesday evening.
The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, a spokesman for the Hamburg police said early Thursday morning.
The perpetrator or perpetrators are on the run, the search is ongoing.
A helicopter was also used in the meantime.
Hamburg – The police were on site with a large contingent.
The background to the incident and details of what happened were initially unclear.
The homicide squad took over the investigation.
