A 70-year-old has been missing in Bavaria since the beginning of August.

Previous searches were unsuccessful, a new search is already planned.

Giebelstadt – The police in Lower Franconia are “still” looking for a missing man (70) who may be in a helpless situation.

Man missing since early August – police are looking again

"The extensive search measures that have been conducted since August 5 have so far been unsuccessful," officials said in a press release on September 21.

A renewed search last week with officers from the riot police brought no further findings.

The police are again asking the public for help in the search.

The missing person is Grigoriy S. from Giebelstadt (Würzburg district).

He was last seen on Friday (August 5) at his home address on Sulzdorfer Weg.

Since then he has disappeared without a trace.

"Due to the state of his health, it is not unlikely that he is in a helpless situation.

All searches by the police were unsuccessful.

Giebelstadt: Man missing for weeks – Lower Franconia police are still looking

Last week, the Würzburg criminal police, with the support of a platoon of Bavarian riot police, again searched an area between Giebelstadt, Sulzdorf and Herchsheim.

There was no information about the whereabouts of the missing person.

Further search measures with the support of the riot police are planned for the next few weeks.

There is still no evidence of a crime.

Since the man has been missing for several weeks, it can no longer be ruled out that he is already in neighboring counties.
