A crowd of people follows a resuscitation in Rüdesheim.

Two people hinder the rescue operation with their behavior.

Rüdesheim – Normally Rüdesheim (Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis) is a place to relax.

The city, located directly on the Rhine, is an attraction for many tourists from all over the world.

In the past few days, Rüdesheim has been the focus of attention mainly because of the spectacular defusing of three World War II bombs.

The emergency services were also required in another case, as has now become known.

Onlookers apparently played so much in the foreground that even the district administrator commented on the incident, reports fnp.de.

Rüdesheim: Several people are filming resuscitation

What happened?

A medical emergency occurred in the old town of Rüdesheim on Tuesday (September 20).

As the police announced on Thursday evening (September 22), a crowd quickly formed around the lifeless and only lightly clad victim.

Several people filmed the scene with their smartphones and obstructed the rescue efforts.

According to the police, when emergency services asked the onlookers to distance themselves, a woman is said to have hit a firefighter.

A little later, the woman and a man are said to have climbed the rotary ladder of a fire engine to get a clear view of what was happening again.

When firefighters got the 21-year-old from the ladder, she hit another firefighter, according to the police report.

Two firefighters were also victims of verbal and physical attacks by a man.

"This is absolutely intolerable behavior that must be prosecuted with full force," said District Administrator Frank Kilian, who found out about the incident on the sidelines of the bombings in Rüdesheim.

The majority of onlookers showed solidarity with the emergency services, who also had a de-escalating effect with their passive behavior, according to the police report.

The most important thing at the end: The resuscitation was successful.
