Ms. Zhang Jingru (Yuki) from Queen Elizabeth Secondary School and Mrs. Ma Kam Ming from Po Leung Kuk (Po Leung Kuk) and Mrs. Ma Junyao (Matthew) from Cheung Fu Sin Secondary School thought it was very rare to participate in this project. Through experience, you can broaden your horizons, discover your interests and expertise, and plan further studies and career directions.

After four days of visit and work experience, Yuki found that Hong Kong's industry has gradually transformed from the production mode of traditional factories. Now it has integrated into the development of innovation and technology, and there are a large number of technical professionals engaged in related work.

She pointed out that the most profound thing was to follow Time Medical to the Hong Kong Eye Hospital to work on the field. "I was in charge of following up a machine that was responsible for transporting documents. I saw that technology has definitely improved the work efficiency of the hospital and improved the life of human beings. It’s amazing.” Witnessing a large number of elderly people in the hospital in need of medical support also made Yuki intend to join related industries and help those in need; another participating student, Matthew, pointed out that he thought it would be difficult for Hong Kong to develop innovation and technology due to lack of resources. It was only then that the Science Park provided different support for start-ups.

He, a business and science student, had the opportunity to participate in the R&D of I&T products during this event. During the repeated tests, he discovered that he was interested in the application of technology. In the future, he wanted to continue to pursue scientific research. , but this just gave me the motivation to challenge these R&D difficulties.”

Ms. Zhang Jingru (left) from Queen Elizabeth Secondary School had no idea about personal career planning, but through this "Industry x Innovation and Technology Experience Tour", she followed the medical technology company to work in the eye hospital. A large number of elderly people need medical support, which makes her even more eager to join the medical team to help others.

Simon Yang, founder and chief operating officer of Time Medical, and Mattis, chief operating officer of Aerosim, are among the mentors of this experience tour.

They lead students to participate in their daily work, such as meetings, foreign visits, product testing and other processes.

Both of them believed that in addition to visiting different I&T facilities, communicating with I&T professionals from various sectors would also allow students to have a better understanding of the current operation status and development plans of different I&T industries in Hong Kong, and then analyze the advantages and challenges.

Simon praised that young people are very active and enthusiastic, very willing to contact new things, and have a sense of responsibility.

“Students dare to make suggestions and share their personal experiences and ideas during meetings. I&T, creativity and entrepreneurship need to be passed on. I’m glad they can step out of the comfort zone and into the challenging I&T environment and learn about it.” Mattis Continuing, this experience tour not only allows young people to understand I&T, but more importantly allows them to understand their personal preferences and make more appropriate career plans, "Even if you find that you are not interested in I&T at all, it doesn't matter, at least you know yourself If you don't like it, then find a second way to develop."
