In a week it's time: Then the hop festival will take place again in Nandlstadt.
There is a lot on offer for all folk festival lovers over five days.
Nandlstadt
– The people of Nandlstadt have to be patient for another week, then the Hop Festival will start next Thursday.
Finally, because during the Corona break, the Nandlstadt folk festival lovers had to starve for two years.
The same goes for local manager Gerhard Betz, who has not yet had a brilliant start with a beer skewer and a shout of "O'zapft is" at the local folk festival.
So the 30-liter keg was just right for the beer tasting on Wednesday, so that the mayor's tapping skills could also be tested.
After an estimated ten hits, including three harder ones and additional knocks, the barrel with spatter losses was finally "cracked" - which promises excitement at the actual tapping premiere of the town hall chief on Thursday.
But the tapping is only one facet of the five-day festival program presented by cultural advisor Rainer Klier.
Thursday, September 29, begins at 6 p.m. with a concert at the town hall to the music of the Pensioners' Band, Helmut Schranner and the Holledauer Musikanten.
The latter also ensure good form during the march and in the hops hall.
Seniors' day, hop run and party bands
On Friday, older citizens get their money's worth at the seniors' afternoon, where the Altmühltal brass band from Beilngries plays.
There's also brass music at the Bavarian evening, which is decorated by the musicians of the Hopfareisser, the Gstanzlsänger Erdäpfekraut, the Goaßlschnalzer from Wolfersdorf and the Isartaler from Moosburg.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
The hop run followed by the award ceremony takes place on Saturday afternoon, and in the evening the show band "Zruck zu dir" ensures a lively party atmosphere.
Party time is also on Sunday evening when the band "Dolce Vita" starts at 7 p.m.
The Sunday morning begins rather quietly, as Pastor Stefan Rauscher celebrates the festive service in the Hopfenhalle at 10 a.m.
Club Olympics on holiday
A full program is also available on Monday, the "Day of German Unity", when the Maschant performances start at 12 p.m. in the hall, a stand concert takes place in front of the church from 2 p.m. and the club Olympics begin at 4 p.m.
In the evening, "Marianne and Miche" will come on stage, and a big raffle with suckling pig, beer barrels and prizes from the local business world is also planned.

Landlord Stefan Antholzer from Mainburg is responsible for the festive kitchen, and the Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei supplies the 5.4 percent, amber-colored festival beer.
The 39-year-old brewery manager Johannes Rauchenecker received a lot of praise during the beer tasting for the noble drink, which is brewed with lots of dark malt and refined with hops of the Tradition and Perle varieties.
The beer costs 9.60 euros this year.
As always, there is also an amusement park on the open-air site in front of the hall.
