The municipality of Fischbachau is looking forward to more buses.

From October, line 9552 runs hourly through the Leitzachtal.

Fischbachau

– Whether for work, shopping or going to the authorities: Up to now, anyone who has to travel from Fischbachau to Miesbach and back has hardly had an alternative to the car.

Especially if he doesn't live in the immediate vicinity of the train station in Hammer.

From October 1st, however, there will be an additional public transport option: the 9552 bus line from Regionalverkehr Oberbayern (RVO) GmbH will then run through the Leitzachtal every hour.

From Miesbach to Fischhausen-Neuhaus train station and back.

Commuters can increasingly use the bus

Good news, said Mayor Stefan Deingruber (CSU) in the municipal council.

In particular, commuters could use the bus more in the future.

But in order for this to happen, attractive ticket prices are needed, Deingruber made clear.

He hopes for corresponding offers from the RVO.

Managing Director Johann Neundlinger also praised the compression of the cycle as "excellent".

According to the tourist office, vacationers would also benefit from this.

"This is a good start for the equalization of car traffic," said Neundlinger and at the same time referred to the ongoing re-tendering of the bus route towards Kufstein, which will hopefully go back into operation when the long-distance hiking trail opens next year.

On the other hand, the public transport connection to the greater Rosenheim area, which many people want, is more problematic.

Measuring device at the Tregleralm car park suggested

Josef Obermaier (CSU) nevertheless asked for more emphasis on this matter.

"The commuter movements in the direction of Rosenheim are still underestimated." In order to be able to document them in figures, Obermaier suggested placing a measuring device at the height of the Tgleralm car park.

And improvements are also necessary in terms of winter service.

In some cases, the route is not cleared until around 7:30 a.m. in the morning.

Too late for most commuters.

Andreas Geschwendtner (CSU) also found that such a project should not fail at district borders.

As an interim solution, he recommended a shared early bus to the Aibling train station.

Vocational school students are also an important target group here.

Deingruber offered to contact the schools to work out the numbers of students commuting.

Make citizens aware of the offer

With the hourly service to Miesbach, it was important to the municipal councils that this was well used by the passengers.

"Ultimately, we all pay for it through the district levy," said Michael Gartmaier (CSU) and asked the municipal administration to include the timetable with ticket prices in the municipal news.

Especially at the present time, with extensive price increases, the bus could again be a serious alternative for more citizens, said Andreas Estner (FWG): "Many can no longer afford a second car."
