Hurricane Fiona strengthened into a powerful Category 4 storm on Wednesday, September 21, after leaving a trail of destruction across several Caribbean islands, including Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
The hurricane caused at least eight deaths and has left the vast majority of Puerto Ricans without power.
The island is still recovering from the devastating Hurricane Maria, which occurred in 2017. The Category 4 storm killed 3,000 people and left the entire island without power for a week.
