At about 11 am today (22nd), a snail truck was driving along Tsing Sha Highway towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When the road near Hoi Lai Village was sloping, it lost control and crashed into the railing on the right side of the road.

The momentum was so great that even the concrete mixer of the snail truck was thrown off and rested on the center of the road.

The left front of the school bus was also badly damaged.

In the accident, one driver and three staff members in the school bus were slightly injured, but the driver of the snail car was sent to the hospital in a coma and was confirmed dead after rescue.


The reporter then inspected the bridge deck and found that the snail truck had swept away a section of about 10 meters of railings on the side of the road before it lost control, leaving long flower marks on the stone bog, and even the concrete peeling off.

The reporter observed at the scene that there was a distance of about 30 meters from the scar on the road and the damaged road shoulder to the place where the snail truck fell.


The snail truck was severely damaged, and the concrete mixer was thrown off.
