At about 11 am today (22nd), a snail car was traveling along Tsing Sha Highway in the direction of Tsim Sha Tsui. When it reached the road near Hoi Lai Village, it accidentally fell off the bridge and hit an orange school bus on Lian Cheung Road. .
There was a driver and three staff members in the school bus at the time, all of whom were sober with minor injuries.
The driver of the snail truck was sent to the hospital in a coma, and was confirmed dead after rescue.
The Transport Department announced that due to a traffic accident, the entire line of Lin Cheung Road (towards Tsim Sha Tsui) near Hoi Lai Estate has been closed.
