The Trigema company employs 1,200 people from 20 countries - and if Managing Director Wolfgang Grupp has his way, there could be more.
He much prefers practitioners to theoreticians.
Burladingen - Nobody can easily avoid him in Burladingen: Entrepreneur Wolfgang Grupp was born here, grew up here and has made the textile company Trigema big over the past few decades.
On the occasion of the upcoming 1250th anniversary of Burladingen, Grupp spoke highly of his hometown.
"Burladingen was always a good location, a top location and still is today," he said in a video interview, as reported

"There are great companies and workshops here, you can see how they come about."
For nothing in the world would Wolfgang Grupp go to Tübingen or Stuttgart or even leave Baden-Württemberg with Trigema, he said.
What he particularly appreciates about Burladingen is the manageability, the family contact with his employees and the short distances to work.
He is also proud that he now employs people from 20 nations - such as Iranians, Pakistanis, Syrians and people from the Ukraine.
The credo of the head of the company: "We'll hire anyone who wants to work."
Trigema boss Wolfgang Grupp complains: Too many students and too few craftsmen
Grupp considers the fact that many young people in Germany are currently taking their Abitur and studying to be a problem.
"We need skilled workers who are intelligent and have manual skills, and not so many graduates who mess everything up," he complains.
Trigema is now trying to target potential applicants via social media - and recently even has its own TikTok channel.
The districts of Burladingen, Gauselfingen and Melchingen celebrate their 1250th anniversary on September 17th and 18th, 2022 on the market square of the city centre.
Burladingen was first mentioned in a document in 772.
In the days leading up to the ceremony, the city of Burladingen released a series of video contributions entitled "Handknitted und not groomed - like the people from here".
In addition to Wolfgang Grupp, a number of other influential personalities in the city were interviewed there.
