Yuval Noah Harari: "The world we live in didn't just fall out of the sky"

Yuval Noah Harari is now also writing for a younger readership. In the children's interview, he talks about Stone Age skills, human superpowers - and what we can learn from history.

Yuval Noah Harari, 46, is a historian, philosopher and best-selling author.

The child reporters Hannah and Sophia, both 10, met him at the CH Beck publishing house in Munich.

Harari's books have sold more than 40 million copies in 65 languages.

Initially, the Israeli wrote primarily on historical subjects.

But in more recent books he also dealt with the present and the future.

Harari is a popular speaker, having met with important people like Angela Merkel and Mark Zuckerberg, the Meta boss.

The child reporters:

Sophia (left) is in the fifth grade at the Obermenzinger Gymnasium in Munich.

She goes horseback riding once a week, plays soccer and likes to paint plants and landscapes.

Hannah (right) is in the same class as Sophia.

Her hobbies are handicrafts, singing, baking and reading.

In her podcast "Hannah's Children's Library" she talks about books that she has read.

On September 21, CH Beck and dtv published the first volume in a four-part series of children's books, "How we humans conquered the world."
