Curious delivery in Rosenheim: A truck driver wanted to supply the police with heating oil - but the officers became aware of numerous offenses.

Rosenheim – With this transport, “almost everything that can be done wrong was done wrong”.

This is how a spokesman for the police put it in summary.

It's about a truck driver who wanted to deliver heating oil to a police station in Rosenheim.

But that was anything but smooth.

Driving licence, dangerous goods, warning signs: the transport of heating oil is anything but proper

According to the police press release, the truck driver reported to the police station in Rosenheim around 12 noon on Wednesday, September 21.

He wanted to deliver heating oil.

But when they looked at the loading area of the truck, the officers quickly realized that something was amiss here.

The police decided to subject the truck and the 32-year-old driver from the Munich district to an intensive check.

They found a number of violations.

First of all, the 32-year-old's license to drive trucks had expired several months ago.

In addition, the driver had no ADR license and no orange warning signs attached to the truck.

According to the police report, the containers in which the heating oil was transported were not “marked according to dangerous goods regulations”.

But that's not all.

"Stupid idea": heating oil transported incorrectly and not secured

The heating oil was also transported in a storage tank, among other things.

However, these are not approved for the transport of heating oil on the road because they do not meet the necessary stability requirements.

And: "To make matters worse, the load was hardly secured," said the police.

However, the list of shortcomings does not end there.

Because according to the police, a transport document, a fire extinguisher, dangerous goods equipment and documents were still missing.

The driver couldn't show any of that.

Because of the lack of a driver's license, the driver now faces criminal proceedings.

Administrative offense proceedings with fines in the four-digit range are also being initiated against him and other parties involved.

According to a police spokesman, the driver realized that it was "a stupid idea" to drive to the police station like this.
