86-year-old violently killed: Suspect caught

A week after the violent death of an 86-year-old in Stuttgart, a suspect is in custody.

The 53-year-old was arrested in his apartment late Thursday evening, police and prosecutors said on Friday.

Investigators found a lot of evidence in the apartment.

The woman's son found the body of the 86-year-old in her apartment last Saturday, she had suffered fatal injuries from massive violence.

Stuttgart – The Italian who has now been arrested was until recently a neighbor of the old lady. On Friday, a judge issued an arrest warrant against the 53-year-old.

The suspect's motive is currently unclear.
