Cruelty to animals occurs again and again in Dortmund.
This time at Phoenix Lake.
The police are looking for witnesses.
Dortmund – Shocking scenes took place at the Phoenix Lake in Dortmund: Unknown people tied a young Egyptian goose together by the legs and made it unable to move, reports RUHR24.

According to the Dortmund police, the perpetrators tied yarn around their legs.
She assumes that the crime happened on the southern shore of Lake Phoenix.
A passer-by found the tormented goose lying on a stone on the bank on Wednesday afternoon (September 21) and wanted to help the animal.

"For example, when dogs approached the young bird, the mother sounded the alarm and the entire goose family kept forming a protective circle around the animal," explains the Dortmund police in the press release.
The 47-year-old woman rounded up other passers-by.
According to the authority, five women came together to help the bird.
They would have organized a blanket to avoid direct contact with the animal and nail scissors to be able to remove the twine between the legs.

The mission succeeded.
When asked by RUHR24, the police could not say exactly how the women overcame the protection of the mother goose.
After the ordeal, the young Egyptian goose was able to get up, walk and swim again.
However, the yarn left marks on the bird's legs.
The Dortmund police are currently not aware of any other cases of this type.
The offense falls under the Animal Welfare Act.
The police are investigating.
