The future of the bakery truck in Sindelsdorf is secured.

On October 4th, Cristina Mazgarean will take over the mobile local supplier in the town center - and expand its range if possible.

Sindelsdorf – Since the closure of the former grocery store at the end of 2017, the baker's truck has been the only point of contact for the people of Sindelsdorf to at least be able to buy bread, drinks or a snack for the lunch break in the village.

On September 1st, however, its previous operator had stopped after around four years.

Less than four weeks later, a successor was found, as Mayor Andreas Obermaier and the chairman of the Sindelsdorf neighborhood help, Wolfgang Geist, announced when asked.

The neighborhood help brought the bakery truck to life five years ago.

From October 4th, the new operator will reopen the bakery car at the usual location on Kocheler Straße, according to Obermaier.

The "new one": This is Cristina Mazgarean.

The 40-year-old currently lives in Bad Heilbrunn with her husband and two children.

As she says, she heard about the bakery truck through word of mouth and that it needed a new operator.

The 40-year-old says that she comes from Romanian Transylvania and worked there as a postal clerk.

Since she has been living in Germany, she has worked in a café in Bad Tölz, among other things.

She is currently employed in a Heilbrunn supermarket.

"But it's not important to me what I've learned, but what I do with my heart," she emphasizes to the local newspaper.

"I like working with people," she says, explaining why she now wants to operate the bakery truck in addition to her work in the supermarket.

New operator wants to expand offer

Customers should continue to be able to buy bread, sweet baked goods, coffee and snacks.

In addition, she wants to expand the offer step by step.

With which products exactly?

"I want to see what the customers want.

I'm open to requests.” In any case, she would like to include alternative dairy products in her range, as well as juices.

She would also like to offer more for the many school children who come to the bakery trolley every day.

If the storage options allow, she wants to offer as many basic products as possible for people who cannot drive to the nearest supermarket in Penzberg by car to do their shopping.

Later on, the offer is to be integrated into a village shop

As far as opening times are concerned, the bakery trolley will remain closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

On the other days she wants to open around 7 a.m.

Mazgarean can imagine extending the previous opening hours to ten o'clock.

But she wanted to take care of that.

"I want to do everything as well as possible," she assures, because: "Either I'm doing it right, or not at all."
