The medical services had more to do on Thursday than ever since the beginning of this year's Oktoberfest.

Among the patients was a constantly ranting Scotsman with balance problems.

Munich – The Oktoberfest in Munich causes bizarre incidents every year.

The emergency services are often the closest and witness first-hand the erratic behavior of the mostly drunk Oktoberfest visitors.

Fortunately, the helpers don't just keep the most entertaining events to themselves.

While the Munich police reported on the Oktoberfest on Twitter under the hashtag #Wiesnschmankerl, the Aicher Ambulance (medical service) issued press releases.

According to this, Thursday was the busiest day so far - there was also talk of a "Beer Bank Brexit" by a "permanently grumbling" Scot.

Oktoberfest: The first heavily intoxicated patient arrives at 9 a.m

Paramedics and police officers are familiar with extreme situations.

But the Oktoberfest, with its millions of visitors and the often excessive consumption of beer, represents a particular burden. At least there is often good entertainment on duty, for example when the drunks - mostly involuntarily - provide laughter.

On Thursday, the weather was perfect in Munich, so it was full at the Wiesn.

The cool mass in the beer garden or swaying in the tent obviously tasted particularly good to one or the other.

The paramedics and doctors at the Aicher medical station treated a total of 332 patients - it was the busiest day since the start of this year's Oktoberfest.

It all started at 9:00 a.m. with the first heavily intoxicated patient.

"He was probably well served from the day before," suspected the emergency services.

Free course in English swear words by a Scot without a kilt

A total of 206 medical supplies were needed on Thursday, 21 of which were surgical miracle supplies.

The stretcher was used 86 times - one "passenger" was particularly remembered.

Helpers transported a Scotsman from the Hofbräu tent to the medical station around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.

The patient attracted particular attention because of his "incessant ranting".

"The paramedics were allowed to listen to all sorts of English words throughout the journey in the Aicher rescue rickshaw," the report said.

Apparently, the emergency services received a free course in English swear words, for which they had not registered.

The man in his late 30s had previously suffered a laceration on his head.

When asked by the doctor treating him why he wasn't wearing a kilt, the patient explained "that one of his neighbors in the bench 'puked' on him the day before" - a possibly quite common problem at the Oktoberfest.

But the Scot was undeterred and came to the Oktoberfest again on Thursday wearing trousers instead of a kilt.

Apparently a fatal mistake, at least the message from the paramedics suggests.

“Lo and behold, without his 'parachute' on his hip, he was knocked off the beer bench while singing.

He wanted to jump off the beer bench in a cool way and then fell off it stupidly".

The conclusion of the paramedics on the "Beer Bank Brexit" is almost poetic: "If a Scot rocks without a kilt,
