The BRB is running out of staff.
Because many employees called in sick at short notice, some train connections in the Oberland will be canceled on Saturday, September 24th.
District
- Corona is not over yet, the first cold wave of autumn started with the beginning of the cool weather.
The Bavarian Regiobahn (BRB) is also feeling the consequences of the associated illnesses.
Because many employees have called in sick at short notice, the train operator in the Oberland network has to pull the emergency brake.
Passengers will also feel this: On Saturday, September 24th, there will be train cancellations on the Holzkirchen-Bayrischzell and Schaftlach-Tegernsee lines.
These BRB connections are affected
As reported by the BRB, connections between Schaftlach and Tegernsee with departures at 3:18 p.m. and 5:48 p.m. from Schaftlach will be cancelled.
In the opposite direction, it affects trains departing at 4:22 p.m. and 6:52 p.m. in Tegernsee.
In the meantime, only two connections between Holzkirchen and Bayrischzell have been dropped.
On the one hand, the train departing from Holzkirchen at 8 p.m., which would only have gone as far as Schliersee anyway.
In the opposite direction, the BRB departed from Bayrischzell at 10:32 p.m.
Since this is the last journey of the day to Munich and the passengers therefore have no opportunity to switch to a later connection, the BRB uses a rail replacement bus service here.

As a precaution, the train operator points out that you should inquire about the current status on the website www.brb.de in good time before you start your journey.
