The number of victims of the sinking of a boat off Tartous has risen to 65, while 20 people are receiving treatment at the General Authority of Al-Basel Hospital in Tartous, according to an incomplete outcome.
The Director General of Sea Ports, Brigadier General, Engineer Samer Kobaresli, said in a statement to SANA reporter that 31 bodies were found today in separate areas on the beach of Tartous, explaining that some of the bodies were found on the shore, while others were recovered from the depth of the sea by the Directorate's boats, which are still continuing. searches so far.
In a previous statement to SANA, Brigadier General Kobarli explained that, according to “the survivors’ statements,” the boat had set off from Lebanon in the Minieh area since last Tuesday, with the intention of emigrating, and it was carrying people of several nationalities.
