At about 5:30 in the morning today (24th), a staff member of the Hung Hom Cross-Harbour Tunnel found a "Hyundai" electric car parked on the shoulder of the Hong Kong-bound exit for no reason. He saw the male driver was unconscious and called the police.
The fire department arrived and broke the front passenger window on the left to save the person. The male driver, about 45 years old, was still unconscious and was immediately taken to Ruttonjee Hospital by ambulance.
First aid supplies such as accessories for an automatic external defibrillator (AED) were left at the scene after the incident.
Police are investigating the incident.
The private car involved was parked on the shoulder of the Hong Kong-bound exit of the CHT.
