The private car at the entrance of the Red Tunnel parked on the shoulder for no reason and the male driver was unconscious and sent to the hospital after being rescued.

Today (24th) at about 5:30 in the morning, a staff member of the Hung Hom Cross-Harbour Tunnel found a "Hyundai" electric car parked on the shoulder of the road between the exit lanes in the direction of Hong Kong for no reason. Alarm alarm.

The fire department arrived after receiving the report and broke the front passenger window on the left to save the person. The male driver, about 45 years old, was still unconscious and was immediately taken to Ruttonjee Hospital by ambulance for treatment, but unfortunately died.

First aid supplies such as accessories for an automatic external defibrillator (AED) were left at the scene after the incident.

Police are investigating the incident.

The private car involved was parked on the shoulder of the Hong Kong-bound exit of the CHT.
