A message of love and peace mixed with the colors of contemporary art paintings and the fragrance wafting from the corners of the palace of Prince Abdul Qader Al-Jazaery in Damascus, which throughout history has been a symbol of safety and peace. The Russian Cultural Center.

The exhibition collected the various plastic experiences of plastic artists Issam Darwish, who participated in nine paintings that reflect different stages of his artistic experience, Ismail Nasra with ten works, and Ammar Al-Shawa with ten works as well.

Director of the Russian Cultural Center in Syria Nikolai Sukhov pointed out, in a statement to SANA’s cultural correspondent, that the opening of the exhibition organized by Galerie Lilit within this beautiful palace means a lot because it was a place of refuge and protection in the nineteenth century for Russian consulates during the Ottoman occupation.

Samir Ghadban, the owner of the palace, explained that the organization of the activity came in coordination between him and the Russian Cultural Center, to be his first activity after its reopening and restoration, pointing to the importance of the House of Prince Abdul Qader Al-Jazaery, who played a major role in society, and the exhibition came today to embody Damascus' message of love and peace.

The plastic artist Darwish pointed out that the importance of the exhibition stems from the works participating in it and from the beautiful place in which it was held and the collection of various plastic experiences, pointing to the aesthetics of the house of Prince Abdul Qader Al-Jazaery, and the exhibition is a tribute to this historical figure.

The plastic artist had his own space within the exhibition, where his works tell about the character of the Joker the clown, and he chose to support this topic because it represents the person who pretends to be happy and contains great sadness, pointing out that the charming place provided a beautiful addition to him as a plastic artist.

As for the plastic artist, Al-Shawa, he pointed to the importance of holding the exhibition in a house of this beauty and historical value, as he participated in works that reflected internal feelings about Syria and beauty.

As for the artist, Sulaf Fawakherji, who was in the audience, she confirmed that the combination of plastic art and an ancient house from the old houses of Damascus provides a clear message that this is the Syrian thought, the thought of history, civilization, art and painting, and evidence of the insistence of the Syrian man to present the message of beauty and prove the will of life.
