FC Hausham can count on 30,000 euros for its clubhouse.

The council has now approved the grant.

The decision is accompanied by various background noises.

Hausham – At the end there was even applause from the ranks of the representatives of FC Hausham.

The municipal council had just decided to give the club 30,000 euros so that it could pay for its clubhouse.

The money is to come from the proceeds of the Kühnen Foundation, which has supported the community for many years.

The municipality had made a corresponding request in advance, but had not yet received an answer, as Mayor Jens Zangenfeind (FWG) reported.

"Experience has shown that anything up to 30,000 euros is fine." So it should work with the subsidy, which is to be paid out in two tranches this year and next year.

As a rule, according to Zangenfeind, around 50,000 euros flow into social projects in Hausham every year.

New board "very satisfied" with decision

The day after, Patrick Asanger was "very satisfied" with the decision of the municipal council.

Together with Peter Both, he has only been the (provisional) club leader for a few days and is now starting his term of office with a significantly lower mortgage.

Because the costs for the clubhouse - actually just a lounge, also suitable as a changing room, and a storeroom - had shot through the roof in the course of construction.

The association has now paid around 95,000 euros, as it has now explained to the community at the request.

A further 10,000 euros should be added before completion.

Not included is what the association has brought in as a personal contribution.

Criticism of the club: "Just started building"

There were a few discussions about the money.

Georg Eham (CSU) was bothered by the fact that the club “just started building and the amounts kept getting higher.

I wish they had asked beforehand."

He wanted to increase the 5,000 euros that had already been decided in 2019 by a maximum of the same amount.

Sports officer Tom Leidgschwendner (CSU) also said that "something went wrong with the project, but that's the way it is now".

He praised "a brutal amount of personal work" and FC's "excellent youth work" and spoke out in favor of the 30,000 euros, which the municipal council then also decided with a 13:2 vote - subject to the approval of the Kühnen Foundation.

Halletz sees unequal treatment - mayor defends himself

Previously, Willi Halletz - he was the driving force behind the FC extension - had been harshly criticized.

If SG had been on the application instead of FC, according to the Green municipal council, the attitude would have been different.

In this context, he referred to other – more highly subsidized – sports facilities in Hausham.

"I almost have to assume unequal treatment," he says when asked.

And further: The fact that a club first has to submit invoices and take out a loan from a private person to pay them, “has never existed in Hausham before”.

Zangenfeind forbade accusations of this kind more or less clearly.

After all, the municipal council needed a basis for a decision.

The previous cost estimates would have been between 30,000 and 80,000 euros.

Of course, the community supports every club.

"I don't think that's a very fair plea," the mayor said in the direction of Halletz.

Thomas Danzer (SPD) also thought it was "a bit bad style to try to play clubs off against each other".

Incidentally, Markus Czernik (CSU) considered Halletz' comparison to be unsuitable because it was about total costs, since it was about costs after deducting subsidies.

Incidentally, none of the latter flow for the FC building.

The footballers raised around 50,000 euros in donations for this, which was well received.

Club founder left the FC - short-term new board

Meanwhile, the new club leadership is distancing itself from the statements made by the Greens municipal council.

"He doesn't speak for FC Hausham," says Asanger, who values a good relationship with the community and the other clubs.

In fact, as of this month, Halletz isn't even a member of the club he initiated in 2007.

"I don't want anything to do with football anymore.

That cost me too much energy,” he says when asked.

Apparently there was rattling behind the scenes.

The provisional takeover of the club management became necessary because Christian Voulgaris and Önder Oguz threw the ball down - according to reports there was friction with Halletz here too.
