Why do some environmentalists want the World Bank president to resign?

Some environmental groups are calling for the resignation of David Malpass as president of the World Bank, after he refused to answer a question related to climate change during a forum organized by The New York Times.

Malpass said that he was not a scientist, and for this reason he has been called a denier.

Hours later, the official told CNN that he agrees with the scientific consensus on the problem.
