The "MuKi" meeting in the Kochler rectory is supervised by (from left) Elvine Poltmann and Vanessa Elsasser.

The carrier is the "Bridge Oberland", says their representative Martina Scheifele.

Money from the community's support fund will now ensure the meeting for another year, say Mayor Thomas Holz and youth officer Rosi Marksteiner.

The "MuKi" meeting in Kochel receives 3000 euros from the community's support fund.

This ensures continued existence for another year.

There are still free places.

Kochel am See –

Spending time with your own child and talking to other young mothers or fathers while the little ones are playing: That is what the “MuKi-Treff” in Kochel is all about.

The open offer, which has existed since 2017, is now starting next year after the long holiday - money from the community support fund makes it possible.

"Without the support fund, the offer would not be possible," emphasized Martina Scheifele from the "Bridge Oberland", which acts as the sponsor of the meeting, at a press event on Wednesday in the Catholic parish home in Kochel.

According to Mayor Thomas Holz, 3000 euros will be made available from the support fund to ensure the continued existence of the meeting for another year.

The fund, explained Holz, was set up around eight years ago by the municipality together with the Oberland bridge, the local children and youth development association and the savings bank.

Donors are companies, but also private individuals from the community.

According to Holz, the donations received are used to support projects for which there are no other funding sources.

According to youth officer Rosi Marksteiner, private individuals who are in need and for whom there are no other financial aid offers are also helped.

The "MuKi" meeting has been financed with money from the fund for several years - an important investment for Mayor Holz.

"We want to be a very family and child-friendly community," he said, emphasizing that the meeting was generally well received.

The two-part offer will be carried out by Elvine Poltmann and Vanessa Elsasser.

Poltmann leads the mother-baby meeting, which takes place every Thursday from nine to ten in the rectory.

There are currently four parents with their babies between three months and one year old.

There would be space for a total of six parent-child pairs.

At the meetings, the trained nanny explained, finger games were played and sung.

And while the little ones then play freely with rattles and the like, parents have time to exchange ideas in peace.

"This creates an incredible network."

Mayor Holz: Donations urgently needed

The procedure at the parent-child meeting, which also takes place every Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in the rectory, is similar.

This offer, which is supervised by Elsasser, is aimed at small children between the ages of one and three.

According to the social worker, there is also a lot of playing and singing.

In addition, exercise and exchange for the parents are important components of the offer.

Up to eight parents are currently coming regularly with their children to the parent-child meeting point.

Both the meeting for babies and the meeting for small children are open offers, where mums, dads or grandparents are equally welcome with the offspring, stressed "Brücke" employee Scheifele.

It also doesn't matter where you live.

The participants are currently coming from Kochel, Großweil or Bichl.

Especially for parents who have just moved to Kochel, the "MuKi" meeting point is a good opportunity to make new contacts and get information about their new place of residence.

As Holz said, they want to finance the meeting in the future with money from the support fund - but for this and to promote other projects in the community, donors are urgently needed.
