The Revolution Youth Union announced today the results of the final stage of the national competition “Record I am an Arab,” which it held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the Suwayda Governorate, during a closing ceremony hosted by the theater of the Directorate of Education in the governorate.
Ali Fadi Ibrahim from Tartous, Laila Youssef Henedy from As-Suwayda and Ismail Ayman Al-Saleh from Hama won the competition, in which about 90 young people from different governorates participated in the field of “Lisan Al-Dad” for first-year secondary students.
In the field of “Know Your Country, Syria, History and Civilization” for eighth grade students, Shahd Ayman Abu Hamdan from As-Suwayda, Ahmed Thaer Jadid from Damascus Countryside, and Ahmed Sami Al-Asas from Homs won.
The closing ceremony included honoring the winners of the competition, the jury committees and their supervisors, the Directorate of Education, the school hosting its tests, and the initiators of the local community to host the participants, in addition to presenting multiple paragraphs for collective singing, poetry and folk arts.
The head of the Revolutionary Youth Union, Sumer Faisal Zahir, said in a statement to reporters that the competition came from the organization’s belief in the need to enhance youth’s knowledge of their language, refine them, follow up and empower them in it, as well as introduce them to the history, civilization and regions of Syria throughout the Syrian geography, in addition to its importance in providing the opportunity for youth from different governorates to meet and communicate. Between them in an atmosphere of love.
The young man, Qahtan Al-Rifai, from Al-Hasakah, in the speech of the participants in the competition, pointed out its importance for them as a young generation carrying the will to live to strengthen their mother Arabic language and learn about the history and civilization of their homeland.
Shahd Abu Hamdan, winner of the competition in the field of “Know your homeland, Syria, history and civilization,” said in a statement to SANA that the competition introduced them to new things and helped them at the same time with their studies, indicating that winning it gave her an incentive to participate in similar competitions during the coming period.
Ali Fadi Ibrahim, winner of the “Lisan Al-Dad” field, expressed his pride and pride in reaching this stage and winning it as a result of his love and passion for the Arabic language.
The final stage of the competition started the day before yesterday by conducting written tests, while yesterday the oral interviews were held at the Martyr Tariq Nasr School in the village of Najran in As-Suwayda.
