Brittany: deemed too water-intensive, the Bridor factory project is creating a stir

“The message posted this Saturday, September 24 morning on the municipal information board, in front of the town hall square in Liffré (Ille-et-Vilaine), is very appropriate.

On the same day, 300 people gathered to take part in a march for the climate.

Objective: to denounce the future establishment of a Bridor industrial pastry production plant.

A project that opponents consider useless and ecocide, because it consumes too much water in particular.

To operate, the plant plans to use up to 187,000 cubic meters of water per year, half of the consumption of the 8,000 inhabitants.
