The Czech representative in the European Parliament, Dr. Ivan David, blamed the Western countries for the energy crisis that Europe is currently suffering from, stressing that this crisis is "made by the West itself, especially the European Union."
"The Russian counter-sanctions are a logical result in response to Western sanctions," David said in a comment published today on his website, adding that Western sanctions against Russia harm the European Union countries more than Russia itself.
David indicated that the United States does not want to find a quick peaceful solution to the crisis in Ukraine because it benefits from high energy prices at the expense of other countries.
For his part, the Slovak MP in the European Parliament and President of the Republic Party Milan Ohrik stressed that the war in Europe is suitable only for the United States, and therefore the time has come to join Hungary in rejecting the policies of the militaries in the West.
He stressed that sanctions provoke counter-sanctions and lead to the impoverishment of people, and for this reason Slovakia must work to prevent further deterioration of the situation by searching for a peaceful solution to the crisis in Ukraine and not by sending arms to Ukraine.
The American Wall Street Journal had previously seen that the suspension of the Russian North Stream 1 gas pipeline poses the worst scenario ever for European countries.
And the finance ministers of the Group of Seven countries confirmed earlier this month that there is a plan to impose a price cap on Russian oil, while Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak made it clear that the idea of reducing oil prices in Russia is completely absurd and that Russia will not supply the countries supporting this initiative with oil and products. He added that the imposition of restrictions on Russian oil prices would destroy
the market.
