The branch of the General Organization for Seed Propagation in Hama Agricultural Banks in the governorate delivered the first batches of hard and soft wheat seeds at a rate of 3300 tons in preparation for the next agricultural season.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Eng. Louay Al-Hosari, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the branch managed to sifter 9 thousand tons of seeds until the moment and handed over the agricultural banks in Masyaf, Suqaylabiyah, Mahardah, Salhab and Shatah quantities of wheat seed according to the capacity of the banks’ storage warehouses, explaining that the hard wheat is of the types ( Douma 1, Douma 3 and Sham 7, while the soft wheat varieties are Douma 49 and Sham 10.
Al-Hosari confirmed the readiness of the branch to cover the needs of farmers in the various regions of the governorate and through agricultural banks of wheat seed in packages weighing 50 kg, which are of the finest varieties and with high vegetative specifications, pointing out that the sifting operations are carried out in the centers of Kafrbo and the agricultural mechanization.
