The next story really managed to move us to tears.

23-year-old Chastity Patterson, a resident of Arkansas, USA, lost her father 4 years ago and since then she updates him daily on her life events through messages she sends to his old mobile number. To her surprise, on the fourth anniversary of his death, someone on the other end answered Leah Patterson almost had a heart attack when she thought she was getting a message from her dead father, but then she discovered that a bereaved father named Brad had been reading her messages every day for 4 years and said they helped him survive and get over his daughter's sudden death. In fact, while Patterson was texting to Clinging to the memory of her dead father, Brad uses the messages to cope with the death of his daughter who was killed in a car accident 5 years ago.

In the last message that Patterson sent to her father, she wrote: "Tomorrow is going to be a hard day! It's been 4 years since I lost you and not a day goes by that I don't miss you. A lot has happened in that short time, but I'm sure you know that, because I tell you all the time. I won the cancer and I haven't gotten sick since you were here, like I promised you I would take care of myself."

She added: "I graduated, I fell in love and I was heartbroken (you would have killed him) but I came back and became a stronger woman. I lost all my friends and hit rock bottom, but I found someone who came into my life and saved me! I don't have kids yet, you must be happy , but I'm ready."

She ended the message with an emotional face: "I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me the most. I'm afraid of marriage because I'll have to walk to the beach alone and you won't be there to tell me everything will be fine. I'm fine. You'll be very, very proud of the woman I've become. I want To tell you that I love you and I really miss you!".

This was the message that broke the heart of the bereaved father on the other end of the line - and this time he decided to reply: "Hi honey. I'm not your father, but I've received all your messages for the past four years. I look forward to your message every morning and your nightly updates. My name is Brad and I lost my daughter in a car accident in August 2014 and your messages have kept me alive. When you text me, I know it's like a message from God. I'm sorry you lost someone so close to you but I've listened to you for years and seen you grow and go through more than anyone. I wanted to write to you Been back for years, but I didn't want to break your heart. You are an amazing woman and I wish my daughter could have become the woman you are. Thank you for the daily messages. You reminded me that there is a God and it's not his fault that my little girl is gone. He gave me you, my little angel And I knew this day would come."

He added: "I'm sorry you had to go through all this, but if it helps - I'm very proud of you! N.

B - Your father was very happy to hear that you bought another dog instead of having children.

Take care and I look forward to your updates tomorrow."

Patterson posted a screenshot of her and his message and wrote: "I've been texting my father every day for 4 years to let him know how my day was. Today I got a sign that everything is fine and I can let him rest in peace."

She has since explained in another message that Jason, her dead father, was not her biological father, but served as a father figure to her: "Jason was not my biological father, but blood does not make him closer. I have known him all my life. I cried with him, I told him Everything. So yes, Jason was a father and he was also a role model for many kids in our town."

Patterson's post went viral and received many supportive comments.

However, there were also some who thought that Brad, the bereaved father, should have revealed his identity sooner because in fact all this time he was being exposed to intimate details about a girl he had never met.
