On video: Demonstrations in Iran protesting the death of the young woman Amini (documentation on Twitter)
Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said today (Saturday) that the protesters must be "confronted with determination" in the riots that broke out across the country following the death of the young woman Mahsa Amini in the custody of the Mosar police last week.
The authorities have been working for several days to suppress the riots of the demonstrators, in which 26 police officers and demonstrators have been killed to date.
"Those who oppose security and peace in the country must be confronted decisively," Raisi said.
He made the remarks in a condolence call to the family of a security agent who was stabbed to death, apparently by protesters.
The young woman Amini, whose death sparked the riots in Iran, was arrested by the moral police in Iran about a week and a half ago, for wearing a hijab "sloppy".
She collapsed at the police station, went upstairs and died three days later in the hospital.
"The demonstrators must be confronted with determination."

The authorities claimed that she had a heart attack, but her family claimed that there were no medical problems.
Also, Amini's father claimed that she suffered from injuries while she was in custody, and said that he considers the police responsible for her death.
