Ten people were killed in floods caused by heavy monsoon rains during the past 24 hours in Pakistan.
"Four children and two women were among the victims," Xinhua quoted Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority today as saying in a statement, noting that the southwestern province of Balochistan recorded six deaths, while the southern province of Sindh recorded four deaths, in addition to the destruction of 17 homes in different parts of the country. .
The total death toll in Pakistan as a result of monsoon rains and floods this season since mid-June has risen to about 1,606 people and 12,863 injured.
