The Israeli occupation continues to expand settlement operations in the occupied city of Jerusalem to besiege the Palestinians and prevent them from urban expansion on their land for the benefit of the settlers, as part of its plans to change the demographic and geographical situation and Judaize the city.

The National Bureau for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in a report published today on its website that the occupation authorities announced a plan to expand a settlement established in northeastern Jerusalem on an area of 700 dunums of the lands of the towns of Shuafat, Beit Hanina, Hizma, Anata and Shuafat refugee camp, indicating that the occupation seized at the same time. He occupied about 1,170 dunums of the lands of Shuafat, Beit Hanina, and Anata, which means that the new plan eliminates the only space available for urban expansion of Jerusalemites in the area, who have become trapped between the settlements that separate Shuafat from Beit Hanina and those that separate Beit Hanina from Hizma.

The report pointed to the emergence of cracks and cracks in the main street in the Old City of Jerusalem threatening to collapse as a result of excavations and tunnels built by the occupation under the neighborhoods of the town, especially in the southern area of the Mughrabi Gate, the Mughrabi Quarter, and the Umayyad Palaces area south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The report pointed out that the occupation escalated its Judaization war throughout the West Bank. In the northern Jordan Valley, it has continued for five months to raze areas of the lands of the Khirbet Al-Farsieh area to expand settlement operations, as it narrows its people and their livelihoods due to forcibly displacing them and seizing the area. It also changed the names of several streets in the Old City In Hebron, in an attempt to Judaize it, he declared Hosh al-Sharif, near the Ibrahimi Mosque, a closed military zone, and erected an iron gate at its entrance in preparation for handing it over to settlers. His forces demolished a house in the village of al-Rakiz, south of Hebron, and two others in the village of Ein Samiya in Ramallah, and three in al-Rashaida village in Jericho, and uprooted 50 olive trees. In the town of Al-Zawiya, west of Salfit, two wells that provide drinking water in the villages of Al-Ras and Kur in Tulkarm were filled and a water network near the village of Al-Awsaj in Jericho was destroyed.

The report stated that settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, stormed Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem, Wadi Al-Hussein area in Hebron, the towns of Al-Khader in Bethlehem, Ni’lin in Ramallah, Hawara and Burin in Nablus, and Wadi Al-Faw in the Jordan Valley, assaulted Palestinian homes and properties, razed areas of Qusin town, north of Nablus, and closed the connecting road. Between Nablus and Qalqilya, they prevented Palestinian vehicles from passing.
