“We are no longer ashamed to say that we want to make Russia disappear.

We want to remove from the map of the world a geopolitical entity that is a little too independent, ”says the minister.

“They do not hesitate to declare their intention not only to inflict a military defeat on our country, but also to destroy Russia,” he added, before attacking the United States more directly.

"By declaring itself victorious in the Cold War, Washington has set itself up almost as an envoy of God on Earth, without any duty, but with the sacred right to act with impunity anywhere and anytime," said Sergei Lavrov.

“The unipolar world no longer suits us”

"This Western arrogance and American exceptionalism have destructive significance today," he said, arguing that Brussels and Washington have "provoked war against Russia."
