In the video: a circle of surfers in memory of the officer Bar Falah who was killed in an accident (Walla system!)

Those who had the chance to arrive at the beach in Netanya yesterday afternoon were in for an unusual sight.

Hundreds of surfers filled Sironit/Herzl Beach in the city, forming a huge circle of surfers as a tribute to Major Bar Falah, a resident of the city, who was killed last week in an exchange of fire with terrorists near Jenin.

Pictures of Bar were hung along the way down to the beach. Above each photo appeared Quote. The friends say that one of the things that Fleh was known for was the sentences he used to scatter, to friends from home, to friends from the army, to his subordinates. Some of them were humorous, some were serious. Many of them were and will be an inspiration.

A traditional way to commemorate a water friend who has passed away.

Bar Falah had quite a few occupations and hobbies.

He was a fighter who engaged in complex operational activity throughout his service, but also a young man who loved to hang out, ride motorcycles, volunteered and donated his time and energy for the sake of others, the weak, the needy.

And for a better world in general.

Sometimes you wondered, how does he have time for all this?

As his best friend told the Sting Unit, where he spent most of his service, "Barr didn't like to sleep" yesterday.

He rushed forward, and the action filled him.

Barr's greatest hobby was surfing.

Me and many others who arrived yesterday at Kontiki Beach, as the surfers have always called it, got to know Bar Falah from the sea, from Netanya.

Some knew that he was in the army, and that he was a serious fighter, but it didn't really take root because he was always present in the city, a social figure that everyone knew and loved to spend time, have fun, laugh and fool around most of the time he was at home.

A circle of surfers is a traditional way for surfers to commemorate a friend in the water who has passed away.

The circle of surfers that took place yesterday, in Contiki, the home beach, was particularly exciting.

A large camp was set up on the beach, hundreds of surfers entered the water at the same time with flowers in their hands, when the sea was rough, and rowed deep.

They formed a large circle in the center of which floated a boat in which were the members of Bar's family, headed by his mother Dalia.

The surfers entered with bouquets of flowers in memory of Bar at the same time hundreds of surfers and friends formed their own big circle outside the water, on the beach.

In the center of the circle lay a pile of surfboards that formed the letters "PLH" in giant.

The water surfers called Bar's name, drummed on the water and splashed, held hands and waved at his excited family.

His brother Amos recited a chapter of Psalms in his memory, a lifeguard on Haskah blew a shofar, and at the end the surfers in the water and the friends on the beach sang "Hatikva" in loud voices.

Afterwards everyone just sat in the water and clapped for a few minutes in honor of Bar.

For me personally, as one of the surfers in the circle, it was a powerful and exciting experience.

The friends went up from the beach and arrived at Ridam, a bar located right above the beach, and was the place where Falah used to hang out.

Little by little, more and more people poured in, family, close friends and also friends who were not in daily and continuous contact with him, but knew and loved Bar, who was a significant figure and inseparable from the landscape of the city of Netanya.

Loved to sing, laugh and dance.

One of the things Ber was identified with was the joy and energy that emanated from him.

He loved to laugh, he loved to sing, he loved to dance, he loved to drink.

Especially Chartreuse, a strong liqueur that some like to drink and some would say it's horrible.

It doesn't matter which group you belong to, this time you drank the Chartreuse, which starred both yesterday and throughout the week.

You drank the chartreuse - because that's what Brev liked.

The friends are sad, but they will not only cry, but also laugh, sing and dance.

Because that's what a break would do.

At the meeting, friends told stories for hours from their experiences with Bar, and spoke from the heart about the great pain that fell on everyone when he left.

Songs that Bar loved were played, and Amir Atias (Doll House), who grew up in Netanya, and the rapper Erez Sharon, "Izzy", also performed, who sang a song he composed a few days ago to Bar's own words.

Do you remember the sentences he liked to say?

Izzy collected some of them and turned them into a powerful and exciting song, which did not leave a single dry eye.

Mother Dalia tearfully asked us to salute the bar and that's what we did.

If there is anyone who deserves to be saluted, it is Bar Fleh.

He earned it with honesty and honor - not only in his death, but also and especially in his life.
