The wish trolley of ASB Nuremberg fulfilled a very special wish of an ALS patient.

He brought the passenger to the studio of a TV show in Hamburg.

Nuremberg –

"Driving to the sea again, enjoying a last trip together with the family or cheering with the football club of the heart in the stadium - the ASB fulfills the last wishes of seriously ill people".

And with the wish car.

The volunteers from Franconia were happy to comply with the wish of a desperate mother last week.

After two years, she finally got tickets to her seriously ill son's favorite show.

Due to his progressive illness, her son is already physically very limited and has lost his sight.

A "normal" transport was therefore not possible.

The only hope left was that the wish car would take him to Hamburg.

And he did.

It started at 6 a.m. in Nuremberg so that they could get to the UFA studios in Hamburg on time.

However, the heavy rain threw a spanner in the works for the volunteers.

Accidents and long traffic jams were the result.

It was half an hour late, but the studio staff showed understanding and made later admission possible for the special guest.

The passenger was of course very excited, explains wish-fulfiller Meike Bäuerlein to our editorial team.

"His very active mind and extensive general knowledge make him a big fan of the quiz show with Kai Pflaume as moderator and Bernhard Hoecker as well as Elton as team captains." To experience the recording of the show "Who knows for something like that?" was the dream of the patients.

"Who knows something like that?": Elton, Hoecker and Pflaume speak to the passenger after the broadcast

During the warm-up before the recording, the audience was asked who had traveled the longest.

"From 600 kilometers, only our desired guest and we are left, celebrated with enthusiasm and thunderous applause from the audience." At the end of the program recording, the passenger said that he knew a lot that made him "proud".

But that was not the end of the day.

Although the celebrity guests quickly disappeared after the show, moderator Kai Pflaume and team captains Bernhard Hoecker and Elton took the time to talk to the family and the passenger of the wish-car.

The passenger could hardly believe his luck.

Elton and Hoecker insisted on inspecting the dream car a little more closely afterwards.
